Lomo-fied.

After a lot of thinking, and by a lot I mean a year, I finally decided to go in for my first ever Lomography camera :) And for that I'd love to thank @PhotoVatika!

What did I buy? The DIANA F+, a plastic bodied, compact, film camera which is a beautiful reproduction of the 1960's classic Diana design. A tribute of sorts even.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am! I mean sure I'm going to mess up a number of times but the fun of it all, the learning, the shooting and the results. It can be magical you know. It will be.

Anyway, till I get it right, here are a few images I made of the camera itself. Have a look at the pretty little analogue machine and the 20mm fish eye lens that I bought with it.

A view from the fish eye (below), again, my first-est ever!

The medium format camera uses 120 film, which I bought from @PhotoVatika too.

The camera packaging includes one very useful booklet which is a manual and the other is a lovely Diana F+ book of more 'true tales and short stories'. Here's a look at the latter - You'd love it!

While I'm all in awe of the analogue cam, I figure there's a lot that I need to learn and it might not be that easy. But I am triply sure that it's going to be super fun! :)

A little about me

Using photography as a means to express and escape, I make photographs out of fleeting emotions, unmoved mountains, the sound of silence and the noise in city streets.
